Lubin & Meyer Representing Lindsay Clancy in Civil Medical Malpractice Lawsuit
Case faults medical providers for failing to properly diagnose and treat severe postpartum psychiatric condition

While the Lindsay Clancy murder trial ended in a mistrial, and prosecutors may be retrying the case, Lubin & Meyer attorneys are representing Clancy in a separate, civil medical malpractice lawsuit that faults her medical providers for failing to recognize and treat her severe postpartum psychiatric condition.
The complaint, filed in Norfolk Superior court in January of this year, alleges a catastrophic failure by multiple medical providers. Defendants include McLean Hospital, Women & Infants Hospital of Rhode Island, psychiatrist Dr. Jennifer A. Tufts, Rebecca H. Jollotta, NP, Alia Goodheart, MD, Zobeida M. Diaz, MD, Elizabeth Madva, MD, Jule Paul, CNP, Lateisha Dukes, LMHC, as well as Aster Mental Health and South Shore Health.
Lubin & Meyer attorney Andrew C. Meyer, Jr. offered commentary to the media outside of the courtroom on September 4th, after the criminal case ended in a mistrial. See Fox news video here.
Attorney Meyer is quoted: “All of this was caused by the failures of the medical profession. They dropped the ball. They caused her to be here. And everybody is suffering as a result. There are many victims, and it's all as a result of the medical system."
Meyer said that the civil case will take longer than the criminal matter (which he said should be resolved this fall) and will be holding the providers and institutions accountable that failed to properly treat Clancy.
Channel 5 coverage included Meyer saying: "Had the seed not been allowed to grow into a tremendous web of tragedy, we wouldnt be here today. She screamed out for help. She went to every available resource that you could possibly imagine, to more than many people would ever have imagined, to try and get help." See the WCVB video here.
