Karen A. Zahka is an associate at Lubin & Meyer. Attorney Zahka is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the State of New Hampshire, as well as the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. She is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys.
Attorney Zahka has participated in several multi-million verdicts and settlements including:
$35.4 million verdict in the case of a 28-year-old woman who suffered a hemorrhagic stroke hours after vaginal delivery of her daughter
$30.3 million verdict against Tufts Medical Center involving a child who suffered severe short bowel syndrome requiring permanent tube feeding as a result of doctors’ negligence
$3 million settlement for the death of a restrained 23-year-old mentally ill patient at Bridgewater State Hospital resulting in sweeping systemic changes.
Attorney Zahka received her undergraduate degree from Boston University (B.A. Political Science & Psychology). She graduated from Suffolk University Law School (J.D.) where she served as continuity editing assistant for The Journal of Health and Biomedical Law. Prior to joining the firm as an associate, Attorney Zahka worked at Lubin & Meyer for over two years as a law clerk assisting with all aspects of litigation.
