Daniella Giraldi, R.N. Daniella Giraldi holds a bachelor of science in nursing from New York University. She has practiced as a registered nurse in general medicine, trauma, general surgery, orthopedics, plastic surgery and neurology. Ms. Giraldi started her career in New York City on a traumatic brain injury unit, caring for patients of all ages who had suffered from strokes, aneurysms, and traumatic injuries after motor vehicle accidents and assaults. She then moved to Boston and worked on a 36-bed, acute-surgical/trauma unit at a Level 1 trauma faciltity. She has cared for patients after general surgery including back surgery, knee surgery, a variety of abdominal surgeries and hip surgery, as well as acutely ill patients after having been in a major car accident or other traumatic event. Ms. Giraldi’s unit also specialized in caring for patients after mastectomys for breast cancer having undergone a DIEP flap procedure to reconstruct their breasts. Ms. Giraldi went on to become the resource nurse of that unit for over a year, where she was responsible for managing the admission and discharge flow of the 36-bed unit, staffing, teaching new nurses assessment skills and care planning, and assisting with all 36 patients on the unit. Ms. Giraldi has over 6 years of hospital nursing experience.
