Barrie Duchesneau is an associate at Lubin & Meyer. Prior to joining the firm as an associate, Attorney Duchesneau worked as a law clerk at Lubin & Meyer. She went on to practice for over three years at a Boston firm focusing in medical malpractice.
Attorney Duchesneau participated in the 2019 $5.1 million settlement in the case of former Red Sox pitcher Bobby Jenks who suffered a spinal surgical injury which focused attention on the practice of simultaneous surgeries. In 2014, she participated in a $16.7 million verdict for a failure to diagnose lung cancer resulting in the death of a 47-year-old. In 2015, she successfully argued in the Massachusetts Court of Appeals which reversed a Medical Malpractice Tribunal’s dismissal of her client’s claim. Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly recognized the Appeal as one of the most influential cases of the year. She has had continued success in the Appeals Court overturning dismissals of her clients’ claims.
Attorney Duchesneau has been recognized in Boston Magazine listed among the Massachusetts Super Lawyers for 2019, and was previously listed as a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2015 - 2018.
Attorney Duchesneau is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the State of New Hampshire, the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, and the United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire. Additionally, Attorney Duchesneau is a member of the Women’s Bar Association and the American Health Lawyers Association.
Attorney Duchesneau is a graduate of Northwestern University (B.S. Communications) and Suffolk University Law School (J.D.).
