Shelby Darland, R.N. Shelby Darland holds a bachelor of science in nursing from Linfield College-Good Samaritan School of Nursing in Portland, Oregon and a master of science in forensic nursing from Fitchburg State College, in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. Ms. Darland has over 7 years of nursing experience and has practiced as a registered nurse in the areas of adult medicine, surgery, oncology, hospice, orthopedic surgery, trauma, neurology, interventional and cardiac surgery, vascular surgery, and cardiology. Ms. Darland started her nursing career in San Luis Obispo, California, at a 77-bed hospital, where she cared for patients after surgery including open heart, abdominal, vascular, hip, knee, back, and shoulder surgeries; as well as patients who suffered from strokes, heart attacks, diabetes, cancer, heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and much more. Ms. Darland then moved to Boston to attend graduate school where she worked as a travel nurse on a variety of units at several hospitals in Massachusetts, as well as, a hospital in Oregon.
